Bowen therapy was created by a gentleman named Tom Bowen (1916-1982) from Geelong Australia. Tom had an innate sense of body function and structure and was able to effect healing of a wide range of ailments with a great number of people. The Victorian government held an inquiry into his practice in 1975 and found that he had achieved great success treating over 13,000 clients per year with bowen therapy.
